Month 0: We launched

CentsibleTools exists for a simple reason: most advice about making money online is written by people whose real product is the advice itself. We wanted to run the experiment instead — in the open, with the receipts showing. So this site tests AI tools, budgeting systems, and beginner side-income ideas the slow way: by actually using them, writing down what they cost, and reporting what happened next, whether it flatters us or not. This diary is where that reporting lives.

In October 2026 we launched the site you are reading now: 25 in-depth guides covering faceless video channels, free AI tools, print-on-demand, digital products, and starter budgets for irregular incomes. Alongside the site, we started a YouTube channel under the same name and began publishing faceless videos exactly the way our own guides describe — AI-assisted scripts and voiceovers, stock visuals, no camera, no face, no filming. At launch the channel has 8 videos live: 5 full-length guides and 3 Shorts cut from them. The whole operation runs on free tools and free hosting, the same $0 stack we recommend to beginners, because advice we have not lived with ourselves is not worth very much.

The total spent so far is $10.46. That bought one thing: the domain name, for one year. Hosting costs $0. The design tools, the editing tools, and the AI tools cost $0. There is no team, no office, and no ad budget. That tiny number is not an accident or a brag — it is the point of the experiment. If a beginner in the US cannot start this exact way, with this exact budget, then the guides on this site would be fiction, and we would rather find that out in public than sell it in private.

Now the honest part: what has not happened yet. We have not been approved for AdSense — we have not even applied. The application waits until the site is properly indexed and receiving real visits, because applying early with an empty site helps nobody. Indexing itself has only just started: Google knows the homepage exists and is working through the rest of the pages, a process that takes days to weeks, not hours. There is no meaningful traffic yet, no audience worth bragging about, and total revenue stands at exactly $0.00. Anyone who tells you their month one looked dramatically different is usually selling the course about it.

Here is the promise this page makes. Once a month, this diary gets a new entry with the real numbers pulled from Google Search Console, YouTube Studio, and — once it exists — the AdSense dashboard: pages indexed, impressions, clicks, views, watch time, and money earned, good or bad, with nothing rounded in our favor. If our own results ever contradict advice in one of our guides, the guide gets corrected and the diary will say so. Month 0 is a website, a small channel, $10.46 spent, and $0 earned. Everything from here is evidence.

How to read these numbers: every figure in this diary comes from a report we can open ourselves — Google Search Console for indexing and search traffic, YouTube Studio for views and watch time, and, later, AdSense reports for earnings. Anything that is an estimate rather than a measured figure is labeled as an estimate. When a number changes, the new entry says what it was before.
